THE DOORMAN is a female-driven action-thriller that will be released in 2020, written by Lior Chefetz and Joe Swanson, starring Ruby Rose, (Batwoman, The Meg, Orange is the New Black) and Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional, The Da Vinci Code, Mission: Impossible, The Pink Panther, The Big Blue).
THE DOORMAN is directed by the award-winning Japanese director Ryuhei Kitamura (The Midnight Meat Train, Azumi, Lupin the 3rd).
THE DOORMAN tells the story of an officer in the Marines who encountered traumatic events while serving her country and returns home looking for an opportunity to heal. She seeks refuge as a doorman at a labyrinthine, historic New York apartment building before encountering a team of ruthless mercenaries who will do anything to retrieve precious art hidden inside the walls of the building.
The producers are Harry Winer of SMASH MEDIA FILMS, and DDI’s Jason Moring (“A Quiet Passion”). Michael Emerson and Mike Sears of M3 are executive producing.
